Once a Week seems to be the plan

As I mentioned last time I checked in, after sitting in front of a computer for 8-9 hours a day, I really don't want to be anywhere near one when I get home. Still, I feel the guilt for not updating. So, I am going to do my best to update at least once a week and it will probably be on the weekend.

Since leaving retail, I must admit that my comedy trough has run a bit dry. You just don't run into crazy as much where I am now. I must look for my crazy elsewhere. In my case, it is my mailbox.

I live in a house divided into apartments. We each have a mail box attached to the front of the house, but our delivery person seems to think we live in some sort of commune because he/she seems to randomly stick our mail in whatever box is nearest, regardless of the name on the box. I got a Christmas card from my friend Jill in mid-Jan. because it ended up in the mailbox for the guy upstairs. He opened the damn thing and then put it in my mailbox with a note that basically said "oops."

The most recent mis-delivery occured this past Friday when I found a postcard serving notice of a settlement in the Girls Gone Wild Litigation. It was addressed to someone who doesn't live here anymore. I got excited over the idea of once having a naughty neighbor living in the building, but when I actually read the card, my enthusiasm faded. Seems those crazy kids at GGW were charging people for DVD's that they didn't order or did not want.

I'm guessing GGW has their version of the cheese of the month club. If you don't tell them no, they will keep sending you stuff. Which I suppose means that my neighbor ordered at least one DVD and then possibly got charged for or sent others that he didn't want. Though, given what I am sure is a fine cataloge of viewing options, how you could receive a DVD you didn't want is beyond me.

On a final note, I saw a commercial for some new Fresh Aire scents. One of them is called Brazillian Carnivale. Does this mean your room will smell like sex, sweat, and coke when you spritz it? Just wondering.

Excellent commentary on the wacky side of life! How was the shin dig Saturday night? Did you get together and talk about boys? :)
